The GALERIE des MODERNES, founded in 1998, was born from the shared vision of Philippe BISMUTH and Vincent AMIAUX.

Philippe BISMUTH, after a B.A. in Economics and an M.A. from the School of the Louvre, lent his expertise in twentieth century painting and sculpture over the last ten years to a number of auctioneers, including the Crédit Municipal de Paris, before devoting himself fully to his current position as a dealer of modern art.

Vincent AMIAUX holds a degree in private law as well as a D.E.A. in Art History. He is an expert on Cubism, specializing in the works of Albert Gleizes.

Clients of the Galerie des Modernes profit from the combined knowledge and art market experience of these two connoisseurs of modern art. At their gallery in the Louvre des Antiquaires in Paris, they share their taste and passion with a diverse public of amateurs, collectors and French and foreign institutions.
